The winners for the docufest was announced in the General Assembly of 1st and 2nd year students. All of my classmates were really sad because we dont have the chance to join or even send our docufilm in the said contest. Ma'am Ramos also said that our section has a lot of potential and we really have an edge in competing in the said contest. aww... :((

IT'S SHOW TIME! :))

February 18, 2008; Monday; Room 408. Environmental Science Time. :))
We are all excited about the docufilm that we'd work for about four months. I am so glad that we finally show the fruit of our hardships before the eyes of our blockmates and of course ma'am. All was really happy and we can feel their support on our group. Before the class starts, we make sure that technicals was good. Other boys help us assembling the laptop and the speakers. After the docu film ends, we recieved a round of applause from our audience. Whew. At last. We are done. We enjoy. After class, the group celebrated. We had a snacks before going home and of course we never forget GOD. We go to church and thank God for all His blessings and guidance that He had given us. We will surely never forget this wonderful experience. :))

VIEWING OR VOTING? :s

February 15, 2008; Friday; Supposed to be the Viewing.

Today is the schedule of the suppose to be viewing of our Docufilm but because of the election for Students Coucil, the viewing was cancelled. We are deeply frustrated but in the same time hopeful that we can beautify the presentation. Ma'am told us that we should include some concepts that had been presented on the book. Sarah and I decided to meet for the last time, the editor that is scheduled on Sunday morning.

EDITING - Part II

February 14, 2008 ; Thursday; Caloocan City

Aside from today is Valentine's Day, it is also another day for editing. The video is doing great and the group was really excited to the outcome of the video. We are really nervous and the tension seems to deepend as Friday approach. The group had not yet experience problem when it comes to editing. Fairly, the group had agreed that we will alot 4oo pesos each member for the video editing. We just need to trust the editor for all the work that we had entrusted him.

February 13, 2008; Wednesday; 7:00 am; Caloocan City

The group finally decided that the editing will be professionaly done by the uncle of Philip. Today is the first day of editing. The place was not so far from UST but in terms of transporation fare, it is more or less costly. However, the first day of editing is pretty good as of the moment because there is a need to work on it one at a time. The editor coordinates with us on how we want the documentary film to be presented. I was given hope because the process was very spontaneous and the editor is very friendly. At about 10:00 we leave the computer shop and go to school for our class will start at 11:00am. Sarah, Pia and Anchelle decided to go back to the editor after the class to check how the docufilm is doing.

MAKING OF INDIVIDUALS MATTER

February 8, 2008 – Friday; Botanical Garden; 8:00am
I was late..again. I was late because my computer has a virus and i cant barely detect it. It really irritates me a lot. I arrived at UST at nine in the morning. They all finished shooting. I just hurry up and finished my part in only one take. I was also a little bit sad because I miss the bloopers of my groupmates. Hahaha. I wished I could laugh at them. :). We really hope that the editing on sunday will be okay enough to for the scheduled viewing on next Monday. We really need a miracle.

February 7, 2008 – Thursday; Making of Idiot board and Voice Overs

Today is scheduled for the voice-overs and making of idiot boards for the segment individual matters. We really don't have an exact venue for this meeting. Thus, we had agreed to stay at the table infront of the statue of AMV in the entrance and in there we start to do our jobs. The script for individuals matter was distributed to the members. Jokeh raised that it would be much better if we memorize out lines rather than seeking the idiot board. Pia help me to construct some lines in my script. Everyone helped in writing the idiot board. After sometime, we start to voice over . We find one room that is vacant and is convenient and silent enough for the voice over. I am the one assigned to voice over for the group. There were a lot of interferences that we encounterd during the said voice over. But it is fun and memorable. As the group's documentation officer, I start to post the blog today. :)

February 6, 2008 – WednesdayAsh Wednesday7:00 – 12:00pm

Today is Ash Wednesday and we are scheduled to have a meeting for editing at 9:00. We arrived at school at 7:00 because we attended mass at the Church in UST. After the mass, we had our meeting in Goldilocks. The group decided to change the venue at 10:00 and shifted to the terrace near the AMV Hall. We talked about the procedures on how we will edit our documentary film. There were a lot of suggestions offered but the group is still considering the expenses and the requirements involved.

February 1, 2008; FridaY; Giving of Paper to members.

Posted in the bulletin board was the different tasks of each members. There includes the set of deadlines indincating the submission of requirements. The group was assigned to pass the initial script, time table, documentation procedure, technical requirementa and media elements of the documentary film. LAST STOP : IPO DAM :))

January 29, 2008; Monday;
We have a wonderful time hiking at IPO DAM. Thanks to Julius. Without him our trip in IPP DAM would be imposible. The group of water pollution also joins the trip. Julius family was very thoughtful. His father gave us the opportunity to shoot and take pictures there. He also prepares us food for lunch. His father also leads the group in boating and hiking. We really enjoy the bonding and the adventure. We also learn a lot of information regarding the management of IPO DAM. Julius' father also shares his knowledge about the said dam. After the we leave, the group decided to plant a seedling. We included it in our Individuals Matter. :)

I want also to share the fun moments our group have with the group of Alison, Ern, Mads, and Mark. We really enjoy each others company. Although the video camera of their group broke, they still cheer up with jokes and a lots of chats.

Next Stop : Wild Life and Eco Park in Quezon City

January 27, 2008 – Sunday; Wild Life and Eco Park Interview

Because of missed points that need to be tackled in the documentary film, the group had agree to have the second shooting on this day. Sarah, Pia, Jokeh and Chelle went to the Ninoy Aquino Wild Life Research Center at 8:00am. Since I am just near the said venue, I just meet them there at 8:30am . We first seek the interviewee because that is the main reason why we go there. At 10:00 am Jokeh and Chelle start the interview with the head of the reserch center. Unfortunately we don't have the chance to come face to face with the interviewee, just jokeh and anchelle. According to the two, he is very intellectual and it seems that he had alot to say about biodiversity. After the interview, we visit the mini zoo located at the heart of Wild Life. We visited the animals that is threatened and if not prevented, may be extict. According to the manong's that we interview, the center will just serve as their temporary habitat. After sometime, they may also free those animals and place them in their true habitat. :)) We had a lunch in Mcdo afterwards.

At 1:00 in the afternoon, it rained. We are traveling the long road of Commonwealth Avenue when the rain fell of. It is like having a terrible day after the long and tiring activities that we'd experience at Wild Life. The group are also afraid of getting lost because no one of us had never gone to Eco Park before. After following the instructions my father had given me, we arrived at Eco Park. The entrance fee was to costly - 20.00 for the residence of Quezon City and 50.00 for those who are not residence of Quezon City. Rain has been very impolite to us and because of it, we decided to cancel our suppose to be shooting at Eco Park. To add, we are scheduled for another trip in Bulacan on Monday. So considering that fact, we left immediately and go home to prepare ourselves for the trip at IPO DAM on Monday, January 28.

January 25, 2008 – Friday
I was asked by Jokeh to search for the numbers of wildlife and eco park. During the day, I only found the number of DENR in the directory. I gave 5 numbers of DENR to Jokeh and she said that she'll try to call the agency to help us answer some questions concerning biodiversity.

TRIPLE TIME, FOLKS!

January 24, 2008 – Thursday; 9:30 – 11:30; Discussion Room
We really need to double time that is why we seriously planned our meetings to be efficiently working. In two hours, the group was brainstorming about the main issue of the docufilm. Certain objectives should be considered and time is also a factor. Pia said that it would be a hard time to change the main issue of extinction because of the lack of time. Anchelle said that it would be possible if only we can find some place with concern to the topic that is near. However, biodiversity is a broad topic and as far as our research is concern, most of the places that houses the center of biodiversity in the Philippines are quite to distant like Palawan and Mindoro. The group also consider ecosystem as part of the documentary. We planned to visit Wild Life and Eco Park for some information regarding forests. We also knew that both places are not really forest at all but we just consider the fact that trees is threatened with human activities.

MEETING ANYWHERE..

January 18, 2008 – Friday; Quadricentennial Area

After the Preliminary Examinations in Filipino, the group held its meeting at the quadricentennial area for the verifications and changes that will be made regarding the comments of Ma’am. We really admit that we are really frustrated and we really demand for an extension of time. Pia borrow the laptop of Julius so that we can search for videos. However, the connection sometimes fail and it really is a waste of time. Sarah really loves coffees. So after the meeting she invite us in the coffee shop in the library. However, the group realize that they have no money for coffee. So, we ended up going home.

January 15, 2008 – Tuesday;Edtech 8:00 – 9:00 am

We have a meeting at the Edtech with Ma’am for the confirmation of our topic and voice over. However, ma’am told us that there were some mistakes in the outline and sequence of our documentary film. She mentioned about the concepts that is need to be discussed in the film. I am deeply sorry for the group because we all know that we lack time. I really hope that we will be able to meet the demands that Ma'am expects from us. Also, I forgot yo bring my camera. According to ma'am my job needs to be updated and recent as possible. I was really hopeless that day but after the meeting with my group mates, they made me realize that we can do it all together! How I love this people.

January 10, 2008- Thursday; Lover’s Lane 9:00am
We had a meeting for the script. Direk Sarah and Pia talked about the videos and the themes that we will use. Jokeh, Chelle and I helped them by giving probable suggestions. Jokeh suggests that we should have a grand ending and she mentioned about songs that will cheer up the audience. Jokeh said that she will take the role of Paris Hilton singing, “Stars are Blind”, Anchelle as Beyonce singing “Crazy in Love”, Pia as Fergie singing “Fergilicious”, and I will be Rihanna singing “SOS.” Haha!
